How does the 8% commission actually work?

Every vendor gets two things:

  1. A personal link: you share it (WhatsApp, QR code, word of mouth). All orders through your personal link: 0% commission. Forever. These are your customers.
  2. A marketplace listing (Growth, Pro, or Enterprise when enabled): the page we promote in estate groups and online. When a customer discovers you through our marketplace and places an order, we take 8% of that order.

In plain terms: we only earn when we bring you business you didn't have before. If you brought the customer, you keep everything.

Tier S: small store (up to 15 products)

What we do: Add products, set stock, configure payment, generate and print your QR code, post your link in one estate group.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is it really free forever?

A: Yes. The Free tier is not a trial. It does not expire. We do not ask for a card. We earn from optional subscriptions and setup services, not from forcing you to pay.

Q: Why is there a cap on products?

A: So catalogue size stays fair and predictable for you and for our infrastructure. If you need a higher cap or unlimited products, move to Pro or Enterprise.

Q: What happens when my stock runs out?

A: Zuqora automatically marks the product as sold out on your ordering link. Customers cannot add it to their cart. You get an alert so you can restock.

Q: What if a customer orders something that then runs out from a walk-in?

A: Zuqora detects the conflict and flags it immediately in your dashboard with three options: suggest an alternative, remove that item and fulfil the rest, or cancel the full order. You choose. The customer is notified automatically.

Q: Does delivery work?

A: Zuqora does not provide delivery riders. You manage delivery yourself: walk it over, send a boda, or ask the customer to pick up. Zuqora handles the order, payment, and communication. Zuqora Riders (rider integration) is planned.

Q: Can I remove a vendor's data or leave at any time?

A: Yes. You own your data. You can export your customer list, order history, and product catalogue at any time. No lock-in.

Q: What payment methods work for customers?

A: M-Pesa (STK Push: prompt on the customer phone), cash on delivery, or pickup and pay. The vendor controls which options are active.

Q: What if I don't have internet?

A: Walk-in sales can be recorded offline and sync when you reconnect. Online ordering requires internet on the customer side.
